Eddarchilles Hotel - Good Hotel Guide Cesar Award, Best Scottish Hotel 2023
We were delighted that our team was recognised with a Summer Star Award 2023 and 2024 from Hotels of the Year - Scotland.
For 2023 we won “Best Seasonal Hotel of the Year - Scotland” and our Head Chef Trevor Williams was awarded a prestigious Medallion d’Or.. For 2024-25 we are nominated for Small Country Hotel of the year (awards are made at end of February 2025).
Among other publications, Eddrachilles Hotel is included in The Good Hotel Guide. We are grateful to our guests for their support and very proud of our team for winning The Good Hotel Guide’s Cesar Award, Best in Scotland, for 2023, The Good Hotel Guide has also awarded us "Editor’s Choice for Rooms with Views 2022” and in 2024 we also received our second Editor’s Choice for Pet Friendly Hotels.
We are fully accredited by Visit Scotland as 3 Star Hotel. This quality assurance scheme will end on 31 March but we were one of last to have our accreditations reconfirmed by inspection in 2024. This includes the requirement to have ensuite shower or bathroom facilities for every bedroom. Accredited restaurants with rooms or Inns can be graded as 4 Star but have guest rooms with bathroom facilities along a corridor or on another floor. Please be careful when comparing venues as private bathrooms are not the same as ensuite.
Visit Scotland have also quality assured our menus for local provenance “Taste Our Best” scheme and recognise Eddrachilles for our: Walkers’ Welcome, Vintage Car Welcome, Pet Welcome and Cyclists Welcome as well as the iKnow scheme (quality of local information available to guests).
Eddrachilles Hotel is accredited by the Living Wage Foundation and has signed up to the Good Business Charter. We are currently working towards an initial accreditation with Green Tourism and developing plans for our sustainability journey.
