Breaking News…
Just announced, Eddrachilles Hotel and Restaurant has just won Small Romantic Destination 2025 at the National Hotels of the Year Scotland Awards.
For us, this is an award less about four poster beds and rose petals and more about our special sense of place and passion for Scottish and Highland heritage. Less bling and celebrities, more writings of Lord Bryon and Robert Burns. Less love-struck couples and newly minted honeymooners, more taking time to reconnect with a soulmate and serious anniversaries.
We are honoured to be recognised in this way.
Recent Other Awards Include:
Summer Star Award 2023 and 2024 from Hotels of the Year - Scotland.
Best Seasonal Hotel of the Year - Scotland”2023
Head Chef Trevor Williams 2023 awarded a prestigious Medallion d’Or.
For 2024-25 we were national finalists in five categories: Small Country Hotel, Dining Destination, Dog Friendly, Highland Hotel and Small Romantic Destination (winning that title). Well done, team!
Among other publications, Eddrachilles Hotel is included in The Good Hotel Guide. We are grateful to our guests for their support and very proud of our team for winning The Good Hotel Guide’s Cesar Award, Best in Scotland, for 2023, The Good Hotel Guide has also awarded us "Editor’s Choice for Rooms with Views 2022” and for 2024 we also received our second Editor’s Choice for Pet Friendly Hotels.
Accreditations
Visit Scotland ended their long standing, independent, inspector led, accreditation scheme in 2024 and all Visit Scotland star ratings should be removed by 31 March 2025. As in every previous year, we received our full accreditations in 2024 including a Taste our Best award for local provenance (inspection May 2024).
We are currently transferring to the AA accreditation scheme under which we will be automatically granted 3 Star status with a full inspection to follow.
