Access for Non-Resident Guests
Eddrachilles Hotel is privately owned and is the all year round home for Richard and Fiona. During our hotel’s 7 month season, we love welcoming our guests to Eddrachilles and sharing the natural beauty and tranquility of this coastal location.
Now that COVID restrictions have been lifted, we can once again welcome external guests to our dinner service (lounge available from 6pm). Most evenings we have a few tables available to reserve in advance.
However, the carpark, gardens and hotel buildings are not public amenities and there is no general right of access to the same. The so-called “Freedom to Roam” legislation does not apply. Whether the hotel is open or closed, there are no facilities for pitching tents nor suitable spaces for Motorhomes for overnight occupancy.
We are also aware that a letting business nearby advertises access to our grounds as part of their commercial offer and includes photographs from our lawn on their website. We have requested that they desist to avoid confusion and embarrassment.
All of this notwithstanding, we will continue to provide emergency assistance to the best of our abilities to those in need. Those with family or other connections to the late Colonel Cuthbert may, of course, continue to visit his memorial at any time. We will also provide reasonable access for owners of neighbouring properties for the maintenance of their properties.
