Can I smoke in my room?

No - all rooms are designated non-smoking as are the public areas. Smoking is restricted to two outdoor locations.

Can I eat all of my meals at the Eddrachilles Hotel?

Yes, we serve breakfast (cooked to order) and dinner in the dining room. A full lunch can be ordered by residents and we also have both complimentary and chargeable snacks available during the day for residents. In the winter we offer a traditional Scottish High Tea service 17:00 until 19:00 for non residents (and any resident guests who would prefer this) while dinner is served at 19:30 for residents.

What is your policy regarding children at the hotel?

Children are very welcome, including infants. Our chefs are happy to discuss and design menus for your childís tastes but please let us know in advance of any particular dietary constraints or allergies so we can order ingredients to suit. As the hotel is a traditional west coast Highland property, the bedrooms were designed to be cosy rather than spacious. Some bedrooms do not therefore have sufficient space for a toddler bed or cot so it is best to call and discuss your specific needs.

We cannot place additional full-sized beds in any bedroom for families or other groups.

Can I bring a pet on holiday with me?

Yes, we welcome well-behaved dogs if we are notified in advance. Our own woodland gardens are perfect for a four-pawed stroll and there are many beaches and hill walks in the surrounding area. We make a single charge of £10 per dog irrespective of the length of your visit and we can provide bedding and feeding bowls if required. Other pets will be accommodated if practical but please discuss prior to making your booking. We have our own dog and two cats who are present at times - but not resident - in the hotel.

Can I pay by credit/debit card?

In addition to cash and cheques, we also accept Mastercard, Visa, Switch, Diners Club, Maestro, Discover, JCB, and Delta. We do not accept American Express. For details of rates, please see our rates page.

Is the Eddrachilles Hotel recommended by any recognised organisations?

As is usual practice in the hospitality sector, wth the change of ownership in 2016 any accreditations held for the hotel were suspended. However, Visit Scotland has since inspected Eddrachilles and accredited us as a 3 Star Small Hotel, plus Taste Our Best and i-Know Scotland schemes. We are part of their Welcome Schemes for Classic Cars, Hill Walkers, Field Sports, and Cyclists. Eddrachilles Hotel currently features in both Stevensonís Scotlandís Good Hotel and Food Book and the Good Hotel Guide and has been approved by a selection of UK and continental European travel agencies.
